Wanted

Hi TB'ers,

This will be a STB first, in just 10 days time we're running a silent auction at our next pot luck dinner (5th April, Lincoln) to raise cash for when we need to utilise the capitalistic world outside of TB. Like hiring rooms for our big events and paying for stalls at local markets etc. 

We'd like some donations of small, quality household / garden items that have been lying around, unloved at your place for a while. If you're joining us at the pot luck then please bring the item(s) at 6.15pm, or if you have something in mind but you can't make the dinner - please let me know. You'll need to take back the item if it doesn't sell on the 5th please. 

Great examples of what to bring/donate are: Kitchenware, non broken electrical items, plants/seedlings, a very good quality book, jewlery etc - you can even donate a voucher for a service you offer on TB (remember, this is all for fundraising...so be generous) i.e. 2 hrs of gardening or knitting or Keffir. We'd rather not have 2nd hand clothes. 1 or 2 items per person - no hogging the auction table please!

There'll be instructions on how to bid at the auction and make sure you bring plenty of cash on the night ;) 

Looking forward to seeing you at the dinner and thanks again for your support. Evelien and I put much love and effort into all this in order to build a great local community...but it'd be nothing without you lot! So, thank you for being STB members.
